In order to &#8220;demonstrate an understanding of public responsibility,&#8221; <a class="waffle-rich-text-link" href="https://blc.edu/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/2023_Academic_Catalog.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">students</a> must complete a Multicultural Project. Bethany Lutheran College receives an “A” grade for Required Western Civilization Courses for Students. The <a href="https://blc.edu/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/2023_Academic_Catalog.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">university</a> requires all first-year students to complete &#8220;Essentials of Christianity I &amp; II&#8221; or &#8220;Introduction to Christianity I &amp; II.&#8221; Students are required to complete an additional nine credits of Religion courses before they graduate. Course options include, but are not limited to: &#8220;Israel&#8217;s History,&#8221; &#8220;Christian Doctrine,&#8221; and &#8220;History of the Christian Church.
