The <a href="https://bulletin.capital.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=20&amp;poid=3148" target="_blank" rel="noopener">university&#8217;s</a> Signature Learning program is made up of seven Program Learning Outcomes.
One of these learning outcomes is, &#8220;Students interact knowledgeably and ethically with people and ideas from many cultures, religions, and identities.&#8221; The description reads, &#8220;Students use and critically evaluate different moral frameworks that inform their lived experience. Students identify themselves to be members of diverse communities, analyzing sources of misunderstanding, conflict, and injustice. Students develop an appreciation for diverse ways of life. Students develop ethical sensitivity that informs thought and behavior in personal, communal, and global contexts.&#8221;
As part of this learning outcome, students are <a href="https://bulletin.capital.edu/mime/media/20/1006/Pathways.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">required</a> to complete an &#8220;Ethics and Society Pathway.&#8221; The Pathway includes three courses: &#8220;Introduction to Ethics,&#8221; &#8220;Cultural Pluralism,&#8221; and &#8220;Global Systems.&#8221; Within the &#8220;Cultural Pluralism&#8221; course:
