Manhattan College receives an &#8220;A&#8221; grade for not having a Bias Reporting System or a Bias Response Team. Bias Reporting Systems and Response Teams are systems or teams of faculty, staff, and sometimes law enforcement.
According to <a href="https://speechfirst.org/bias-reporting-systems/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SpeechFirst</a>, students are “encouraged to report ‘bias incidents’ to these boards (or teams) in the name of inclusion and tolerance, but it’s often unclear what the school considers ‘bias’ in the first place. Overly broad or vague definitions of bias put all kinds of speech at risk of being reported – even unpopular speech which is protected by the First Amendment.”

On <a href="https://manhattan.edu/campus-directory/jordan.pascoe" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jordan Pascoe’s Manhattan College</a> profile, she states, “I teach in the Philosophy, Critical Race and Ethnicity Studies, Women and Gender Studies, and Peace and Justice Studies programs. I work primarily in social epistemology and social/political philosophy, with an emphasis on feminist philosophy, philosophy of sexuality, critical race theory, global and decolonial philosophy.” Her course list includes titles such as “Black Feminist Philosophy,” Feminist Ethics,” “Africana Philosophy,’ and “Roots.” 
Pascoe <a href="https://nebula.wsimg.com/e917cfe6f182fbc9e940710925a79dc7?AccessKeyId=ADFD9C28516D9C6780F7&amp;disposition=0&amp;alloworigin=1">published an article</a> in SGIR Review titled “Rethinking Race and Gender in Kant: Toward a Non-Ideal, Intersectional Kant” which says,
“Kant is an odd figure in contemporary philosophical discussions of raced and gendered equity. On the one hand, his theory is at once tremendously useful for those of us who are concerned with racism and sexism, while on the other, Kant expressed troublingly racist and sexist views…”
She continued,
“I am, admittedly, thinking against Kant…I want to read Kant through the lens of non-ideal theory — in part because, in doing my own work on feminism and race in Kant’s political philosophy, I find this non-ideal Kant to be more useful to contemporary theorizing. What is generative, for feminist and critical race theorizing, is often less the coherence of his systems…”
Pascoe leads activities and discussions within Manhattan College’s <a href="https://inside.manhattan.edu/student-life/lasallian-women-gender-resource-center/index.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lasallian Women and Gender [Resource] Clinic</a> (LWGRC). The organization’s vision statement says it is “an exclusive space at Manhattan College designed to centralize resources, support, and advocacy that respond to gender-based violence and develop tools that envision and support gender justice.” 
LWGRC&#8217;s statement on gender inclusivity and respect says they “support gender as a meaningful political and personal identity that is fluid, mutable, unfixed, multitudinal, ever-changing and uniformed by binary and mutually-exclusive bio-medically identified sex organs at birth.”
