<a href="https://uwm.edu/english/our-people/jay-gregory/">Dr. Gregory Jay</a> is a Professor of English at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Jay calls for the &#8220;abolition of whiteness.&#8221; He even compares &#8220;whiteness&#8221; to the whale in the literary classic, Moby Dick. Jay claims that saying &#8220;white trash&#8221; is also racist because it suggests that regular trash is black.

Baran describes herself as a “vulgar Marxist” because she desires “to see the entire dismantling of the system versus the other, softer, kinder, brutal Marxists.”
